Thirty years of cooking. One restaurant. One dream.
It started on Carlton Hills Blvd in 2020
Mr. Birria opened its restaurant in Santee in 2020, built on more than 30 years of cooking authentic Mexican food. The recipe was simple and stubborn: real birria, slow-cooked until the beef falls apart, served with consommé made from the stew itself — never from a packet.
Lines got longer. Regulars became friends. And the same request kept coming across the counter: can you bring this to our wedding? Our office? Our quinceañera?
So we put the kitchen on wheels. Our catering taco truck now does exactly that — bringing birria to the people — as our food truck catering service for weddings, offices, and parties across San Diego County, while the restaurant keeps serving Santee every day.
